New parents deserve time to bond with their children. Family members should be able to be there when a loved one falls seriously ill.

But only 14 percent of people working in the United States are covered by paid family leave through their employers. This means that families are forced to choose between making ends meet and being there for a loved one when when they are needed most.

It’s not right, and we can do better.

The U.S needs modern paid family leave policies. Everyone should be able to care for loved ones when they are needed most.
