ACT NOW: Senate to remove paid leave from coronavirus support bill
Senator Johnson (R-WI) in the Senate has introduced an amendment to strip the paid sick days and paid family and medical leave from the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. We know that all families need paid leave in the best of times, and the need for paid leave is literally an issue of life and death now.
In response to this harmful amendment, Senators Murray (D-WA) and Gillibrand (D-NY) have introduced a substitute that would provide paid sick days and paid family and medical leave for two years.
Send an immediate tweet to your Senators and tell them to vote NO on the Johnson Amendment and to vote YES on the Murray/Gillibrand substitute.
